Do I have to pay for posting a Request for Ideas?

No, Requesting and Idea by posting a '0' Prize Request is Free, you may change and increase the Prize level to motivate creatives to submit to your Request from your Request page 'Extend Reward' button on the top

 

If I get a Submission that I like how do I buy it?

We connect you directly with the Creative, you discuss the price and delivery details and then you 'Extend Reward' by depositing the price in MuseValley and selecting the product you buy as the Winner (on Request close date or by contacting support@muse-valley.com)

No Risk, your money will go to the winning creative only after you 'Accept' the product.

'Extend Reward' is available directly on the top of your Request details page, it is also available from MyMuse/Request (Set-up wheel), and also from your Dashboard/Activity from the drop-list on the top of your Request Preview (small arrow).

 

How do I get custom designs and art?

There are two ways to get 100% original work designed especially for you:

1. Post a Request for Ideas for original one of a kind products and gifts (Free!) - get Submissions from directly from top designers and artists and buy the one you love.

2. Post a Request with the details of the custom-made product you're looking for (Brief) and your budget (the Prize), talent designers and artists will give you Submissions to choose from.

You can also Browse  the Gallery, find and buy a product and even ask for customization.

What is a Request?

You define what you need and how much you are willing to pay (Prize) and post a Request, our creative community will submit their works and compete to win the Prize. You select the winner who will deliver the project and win the Prize. Your money is safe! - deposit the money with MuseValley when you post the Request, the winner will get it only after you get your work, if you don’t find what you need Money back guarantee.

Why using the Request model?

If you need creativity and custom design or art don’t limit yourself to the creativity of one designer or artist, use MuseValley Request model to get diverse creativity of unique works to choose from all custom-designed for you and fit your needs and your budget.  It is also a great way for Brands and Individuals who would like to recruit creative talents.  

 

What is the Request process?

Step 1: Post your Request and deposit the Prize at MuseValley (Ideas for original products for Free)
Step 2: Monitor submissions and rate each one (0 - 5 Stars), Communicate with Cretaives through the submission Comments tab (Private or Public), ask for improvements and changes if needed.
Step 3: Focus on a short list of your favorites (sort for high rating)
Step 4: At Request Closing date or a short time after, select the winner and ask to deliver, provide the shipping methode and address.
Step 5: Download deliverables (Files), if it is a physical product download the delivery details and wait for the package.
Step 6: When you get the package approve ('Accept') it so the Creative will get your Prize.

Manage this process through MyMuse/Requests or your Profile/ Dash board  Activity, frequenly monitor your system Notifications and Messages.

 

What features can I use to promote my Request?

There are 3 ways you can upgrade your Request to get more submissions from Creatives. You can choose to implement these upgrades before or after you post your Request on the Request Wall. 
Upgrade Types: 

1. Guaranteed Requests: You promise Creatives you will award a winner, this feature is Free and it is also Highlighting your Request to stand out on the Request Wall using a Golden Prize 
2. Highlighted Requests: You make your Request stand out visually by highlighting the Prize 
3. Featured Requests: You move your Request to the top of Request Wall where it will get the most views. 

 

How do I pay for my Request?

After you fill the New Request form and submit your Request, you will be directed to the payment page with a summary of your Request and total payment including commission and features that you selected. Your money is safe! - deposit the money with MuseValley when you post the Request, the winner will get it only after you get your work, if you don’t find what you need Money back guarantee.
The current method of payment is through PayPal; this includes all credit and debit cards PayPal accepts. Your personal MuseValley Wallet can also be used for payment. Manage your Wallet from your Profile.

 

How do I manage my Requests and Orders?

There are 3 ways to manage your Requests and Orders, this includes Edit, Cancel, Request Changes, Select a winner, Increase Prize, Add features, Contact Creative, Download deliverabls, Accept Deliverabls

1. On Request/Project details page

3. From your Profile Dashboard Activity for Requests and 'Orders' Tab for Orders - use the drop list on the Request/Order Image

 * Always monitor your System Notifications (!), Private Messages (Envelope Icon) and email notifications sent to your email

 

How do I search and sort to find my favorite stuff?

There are 4 ways to search and sort:

1. Select the desired Category on the left side below the top toolbar
2. Search for Tags and Titles - Monitor the drop list of existing topics to choose from.
3. Sort by -  Prize, New, Closing Date, Submissions, Popular
4. Advanced Sort for range of dates, prize, submissions, specific status and more

 

Can I update edit and change my Request after posting?

After posting your Request you can add photos, files and links as well as comments,  increasing your Request Prize or Features is possible through the Request details or MyMuse or Dashboard Activity. You cannot change the Request Brief and Closing Date since Creatives may have started already working on your project. If you need to change these parameters please Contact MuseValley at support@muse-valley.com or Open a support Ticket from 'How It Works' on the top toolbar.  

 

When can I select a winning Submission?

Select the winner at Request Closing date or a few days after, you will get 'Select as a Winner' button on the Submissions on Closing date. If you want to select a winner before Closing date please Contact us at support@muse-valley.com or Open a support Ticket from 'How It Works' on the top toolbar. Please note that Creatives may have started already working on your project towards the Closing Date indicated on your Request so we highly recommend you wait and get all Submissions.

 

Do I need to pay some additional fees on the Prize?

Well, MuseValley is a Private initiative of people who likes arts and designs but it costs some money. So, yes we add 10% fees on top of your Prize, this includes transaction fees. If you also order specific promotion features such as Highlighted, Private, Anonymous, Featured you will pay additional fixed price for each. Unlike other Request based Web sites we are completely transparent and flexible, you choose any Prize you want and get submissions that fits this level of prize.

Where can I view my transaction history?

To view your transaction history, go to My Wallet on your Profile or the Transactions tab on your Dashboard.

Can the I select more than one winner?

The Request process allows you to select only one winner but if you are also interested in other submissions that you got, you may ask these Creatives to Convert their submissions into a Portfolio Project so you can Buy from the Gallery. 

Can I increase my Prize amount after I post my Request?

Yes, from the Request details or from MyMuse/Requests or from dashboard/Activity, if you don’t get submissions or you want more Submissions it is advised to increase the Prize, you can do it at any time, you can also upgrade for Featured, Highlighted and Guaranteed to attract Creatives.

Can I upgrade my Request features after posting my Request?

Yes.  
Step 1: Click on your Request post. 
Step 2: Click “Upgrade Features.” 
Step 3: Select which features you would like to add to your Request. 
Step 4: Complete payment. 

You can also do that from MyMuse/Requests or from your Dashboard/Activity

 

What is the promotional code when I post a Request ?

If you were forwarded to MuseValley by one of our partners who gave you a promotional code please enter the code and enjoy some discounted fee, we are sharing our income with our partners who help us grow the MuseValley community.

Can I ask my Request winner to make slight design adjustments?

Yes. Click on your Request post and select the ‘Comments’ Tab, use private communication with the winner, this is a thread documenting all conversations about the Request and its submissions. Communicating through the private messaging using the ‘envelop’ Icon next to the user profile is less recommended for Request and Project oriented discussion but also possible especially if you need to attach a file. 

Can I message the Creatives who submit to my Request?

Yes. Click on your Request post and select the ‘Comments’ Tab, select ‘All’ to communicate with all Creatives - everyone will see your comment. Creatives can reply ‘Public’ or ‘Private’ just to you.

Can I invite specific Creatives to submit to my Request?

Yes. You can invite Creatives to submit Projects to your public or private Requests by messaging them through the ‘envelop’ Icon next to their profile Icon/name. Note - if your Request is anonymous, an invited Creative will see your profile Icon on the message you send.   

What is the minimum Prize amount I can award the winner of my Request?

The minimum Prize amount is $0,  it is targeting Ideas for original products.

What charges are associated with posting a Request?

You should pay a deposit equal to the amount of the Prize you designate, as well as a commission fee that is equal to percentage of your Prize amount indicated after you post your Request with the payment details. You may choose to upgrade your Request features for an additional cost, but this is not mandatory. 

What is My Wallet?

Your Wallet is your private secured account in MuseValley where you can hold ‘Money’ and pay for Requests or Buy projects. It is possible to ‘Add amount to Wallet’ from your Dashboard drop list. It is always possible to withdraw money from your Wallet to your PayPal account. In case you get a Refund for your Request we will transfer the Refunded money to your Wallet.  

How much time do I have to pick a winner once my Request closes?

You have 20 days after your Request’s due date to pick a winner but we suggest you do that as early as you can, Creatives expect to see the winner on the Request Close date.

Can I pick a winner before my Request closes?

Selecting the winner is possible only at the day the Request Closes,  for same day Request when the Request Close date is the same date when posted it is possible to select the winner at any hour within this same day.

How do I screen Submissions and focus on the best projects?

We recommend that you rate each submission as soon as you review it ( 0 - 5 stars), than sort the submissions and focus on the high ratings, your rating will also help the Creative to learn your preferences and their chances to win the Request. Monitor the number of Views, Likes and Comments on each submission, it could help you understand what other people in the Community like. None relevant Submissions could be 'Eliminated'. 

How much personal information do I have to share in my profile?

The minimal information you need for sign up and become a user is a username and email address, but it is highly recommende to fill in details about yourself, it will help Creatives target your Project to your needs, if you are a brand this is your opportunity to attract Creatives and promote your business.  If you are a Creative we recommend to put your full name, Photo or Logo, list your skills, links to your work, your location. Also upload Portfolio works to increase your chances to win or sell, you will get a Creative Wallet to collect funds.

Can I add links from my MuseValley profile to other Web sites?

Yes, you can add links on your user profile, usually your Company Web site, Facebook page, YouTube or others. 

What happens if my Request doesn’t receive any submissions?

You can increase the Prize and use our special features to promote your Request: Highlight, Guaranteed, Featured. Don’t wait for the Request Close date and maximize your chances to get quality submissions before. If you still didn’t get submissions or you don’t find any that you like - Money back guarantee - we will refund your Wallet with minimal handling fees.

Can I choose whether Creatives submit complete work or just a sketch/Idea to a Request?

Yes, by default the level of the Request is set for Ideas (Free), you can change this by accessing the 'Advanced Brief' on the 'Post new Request' page, it includes 3 levels of solutions, the basic one is a Sketch or Idea, then it is high resolution media files, it is also possible to ask for one or a few physical samples of the Work to be shipped to you. The level of solution should be reflected in the Prize amount that you offer, especially if you want samples to be shipped to you.

Will I have all rights to the winning Request entry I chose?

The 'Post new Request’ form includes 3 levels of license, it starts from 'Personal use' (Default), then Commercial use (none exclusive) and the 3rd one is full IP Rights transfer from Creative to Request Holder or Buyer of a Work. The license level that you select should be reflected in the Prize amount that you offer, especially if you choose  full IP Rights transfer to you, in that case the Creative cannot sell this work to others.

Is there a limit to how many Requests post?

No. 

Who pays for shipping?

Before posting your Request, you should choose to specify whether or not you’ve included shipping costs as a part of your Prize. If you have not, you either cover shipping costs or discuss that with the favorite Creative before selecting him as a winner. 

 

How do I purchase a Portfolio Project?

Step 1: Browse the Gallery, then click on the project you would like to purchase. 
Step 2: Press 'Buy Now' and send the Creative a message stating that you’d like to purchase his or her work. You can specify whether you’d like the project as is, or whether you’d prefer slight adjustments or customizations. 
Step 3: Receive approval from the Creative. 
Step 4: Pay a deposit for the price of the project and ask for delivery with shipping methode and your address. Your money is safe with MuseValley it will be paid to the Creative only after you approve that you got the project. 
Step 5: Get the project - it is yours!  approve paying the Creative by 'Accept deliverables'

 

When I browse the Gallery, how do I find works that I love?

MuseValley includes tools to search, sort and filter the works you see on your Wall. There are many ways to do that for your convinience:

1. Select the specific category of your interest such as Fashion, Jewelry, Design, Art...  if you want to focus on a Sub-category within one of these main categories use the Search text box, for example Search for: Oil Painting, Photography, Necklace, Bag,...

2.  Search for specific Tag (Keyword) or Title or Username, for example: wood, fine art, decoration, funny hat, and Username: johnsmith, sara123...

3. Sort Gallery projects for Popular, New, Price

4. Use the Filter tool for: See only Submissuins to Requests, Only works for sale, Price range (for example from $50 to $150)

 

What is the difference between Submissions and Projects?

All Creative works are displayed on the Gallery, this includes both Submissions, offers made by creatives to Requests, and Portfolio Projects uploaded by Creatives to showcase their work and sell. 

 

What is MyMuse?

MyMuse is where you can Follow your favorite Creatives as well as ‘Collect’ your favorite Projects and Requests.  MyMuse is also where you can manage your Requests and Orders.

Can I Follow another user?

You can Follow a Creative and other users from their Profile page, get there by pressing their Image or name. You will get Notofications when the users you follow posts a new Request or a project.

Why MuseValley?

It is a community of people who love special designs and arts, talk about, exchange ideas and comment, share with friends, Follow and more. Creative talents share their work and knowledge and collect feedback from the community, Clients post Requests for custom-designs that they will never find ready made off-the-shelf for their allocated budget. Clients can also buy works that they like from the Gallery and even ask the Creative for some adaptations for their own needs.
It is fun and lots of action, MuseValley vivid easy to use image based Web site is for anyone who appreciate Creativity and unique custom-made arts and designs, there are many categories to focus on the areas you like most.  

What is the difference between the Request ‘Wall’ and the Gallery ‘Wall’?

The Request page is showing Requests posted by Clients who are asking for custom arts and designs, the Prize is indicated on the top right corner and the time coulter on the left is the remaining time for submissions by Creatives who compete to win. If you hover with your mouse you can see more details, see the submissions, add the Request to your personal MyMuse to follow and Share with your friends. If you click on the Request Image you will get to the Request detailed page with the Brief and where you can Post your submission as a Creative.

The Gallery page is showing projects, both submissions to Requests and portfolio projects posted by Creatives. Monitor the top right corner for the status of the project, if there is a Price tag it means that you can buy it. The Image profile/Logo of the Creative is shown on the top of each project. 
If you hover with your mouse you can see more details, ‘Like’ it, add it to your personal MyMuse to follow and Share with your friends. If you click on the Image you will get to the Project detailed page with the Brief and where you can buy it if it is for sell.

How do Requests work?

In short, Request Holders post Requests to find custom-designed works, they deposit a prize for the winning project, Creatives submit their work and the winner deliver and gets the prize as well as recognition and rating. 

How do I browse Projects?

In the Gallery, all Submissions and Portfolio Projects are shown on the Gallery, each has its status or price on the top right corner.

Can I buy a Project?

Yes, any project with a Price on it’s right top corner is for sell, you need to contact the Creative and request it, indicate customizations if you want. Deposit the money into MuseValley after the Creative approves your request, Your money is safe! -  Creative will get it only after you get your work. Manage the process through your dashboard ‘My Orders’ tab, this is the process:

Step 1: Press ‘Buy It’ on the Project detailed page and Request it through a message to the Creative, indicate changes and adaptations if you need.
Step 2: When Creative approves, deposit the price at MuseValley and request delivery
Step 3: Download deliverables (Files), if it is a physical product download delivery details and wait for the package.
Step 4: When you get the package approve it by 'Accept' from the Project details page so the Creative will get paid.

 

Do I have to pay additional fees when I buy a project?

No, you only pay the price indicated on the Project you buy

What is MyMuse?

MyMuse is where members of the MuseValley community collect their favorite Projects and Requests. You can edit your favorites in MyMuse at any time, you can also manage your Requests, Submissions, Projects and Orders from My Muse.

Can I Follow another user?

You can Follow other users from their Profile page, get there by pressing their Image or name. You will get notofications when the users you follow post a new Request or a project.

Who can see my Profile?

Any user that clicks on your Image or Name will get to your profile and activity page. Your profile is showing  a few sections:

1. Your user name and image if you uploaded one, either your photo or logo
2. General information about yourself, skills, type of business and links to your Web site / Facebook page - highly recommended especially for Creatives to fill this one.
3. Private details that you define as public in your ‘Settings’ 
4. Statistics on your activity such as number of portfolio projects/submissions, number of winning, number of orders, number of Requests, following and follow totals.
5. Your activity ‘Wall’ with your Projects and Requests (your private 'Gallery')

 

 What can I do if I see inappropriate or unoriginal content on a Request or Project post?

You can flag a Request, Project or user by going to the Project’s or Request details page or to a user’s Profile. MuseValley will ask you to give your reason for flagging and will investigate and respond appropriately. 

Can I be a Creative and a Client at the same time?

Yes. You can be a Creative, a Client and a Fan at the same time. 

How can I get involved if I’m not a Creative or a Client?

You can collect your favorite Projects, Requests and Creatives in MyMuse and can join a conversation with other members of the MuseValley community by commenting on Creative’s work, ‘Like’ submissions and projects and Share these with your friends on social networks, your feedback helps Request Holders select their winners and Creatives to improve their Projects. 

Can I change my notifications and/or email settings?

Yes. You can choose to Notifications and direct messages to your personal email account or you can keep them restricted to MuseValley, see Notifications under your profile.
