Why MuseValley?

Showcase and sell your work and collect feedback from our community, other Creatives and  Thousands of fans who appreciate and love unique designs and arts, some will buy your work. Increase your business by posting submissions to customer Requests and get paid (Prize), if your work was not selected (win) it is still available for sell in the Gallery. Build your reputation over time and get connected to large firms who are looking for talents. 

Do I need to design or create the product before I win?

No, you can submit existing products or describe the customization you will do if your work will be selected, you can submit sketches and describe the product that you will deliver if your work will be selected by the client.

 

What is the meaning of 'Ideas for original product or original gift'?

Clients can post Requests for original product/gift with no Prize, this is your opportunity to inspire the client by submit your existing products that fits the client Request, you need to put a price and the client may select and buy your product, the products is also displayed on the MuseValley Gallery and if your product is not selected other clients may order it. 

How do I increase my Business and Promote myself?

There are several ways for you as a Creative to increase your business and promote yourself through MuseValley:

1. Your User profile includes information about yourself, skills and links to your Website, Facebook, Articles or any other on-line information about you and your works, upload a few Portfolio works that best represent your capabilities and style - Clients and Brands will review your User Profile and Activity.

2. Post Portfolio works, all will be displayed on the Gallery, put a price tag for each or '$0' if it is just a Portfolio and not for sale. Clients will rate your projects ( 0 - 5 Stars), 'Like', Follow and Comment they may also contact you and Request to buy a project.

3. Browse Requests and Submit your work to those who best fit your skills, winning submissions is not only about the Prize, it will be highlighted on your work (Golden Trophy) and on your User Profile to build your reputation.

4. Use MuseValley to Collect feedback from others on your projects and ideas/sketches, it is a community of art and designs fans and Creatives, they will provide you feedback on your work, even if it is just a draft or a sketch, you can post it as a Request to incentivize others by offering a Prize.

All is free! - MuseValley doesn't charge commission on your Submissions to Request or winnings, we only charge some commission on works that you sell through the Gallery.

 

How do Requests work?

Clients post Requests to find Original and custom-designed works, they deposit a Prize for the winning project, Creatives submit their work and the winner delivers and gets the prize as well as recognition and rating.  Posting Ideas for existing Original products is Free ('0' indicated on the Request).

What is the process of the Request?

Step 1: Submit your work and monitor your rating and comments, you may submit more than one.
Step 2: Communicate with the Request Holder for clarifications and changes, monitor Notifications and Messages
Step 3: At Request Closing date or a short time after, get a Notification if you won
Step 4: If you won deliver your project upload files, upload physical product delivery details
Step 5: After Client gets the deliverables and you will get the full prize to your MuseValley wallet
Step 6: If you didn’t win Convert your work to Portfolio and put a price tag to sell it on the Gallery.

Manage this process through MyMuse/Submissions or your Profile/ Dash board  Activity, frequently monitor your system Notifications and Messages.

What happens to my submission when I don’t win a Request?

After the Request is Closed your Submission will automatically displayed as a Portfolio, you will get the ‘Convert to Portfolio’ button on your Submission for editing its Brief  and add a price to sell. 

How can I showcase my work?

You can post Portfolio works on MuseValley- its free!,  these will be shown on the Gallery and also in your Profile, you may even add a price and sell your works.

How do I sell my Portfolio Projects in the Gallery?

You post your work in the Gallery. Potential buyers will then message you and request to buy your Project or ask for any adjustments or customization. Once you approve their request or agree to make the requested adjustments, they will deposit the price at MuseValley, you will upload and send final deliverables and receive payment after buyer gets the project. 

What is the process for selling my Portfolio work?

Step 1: Post your portfolio work and monitor your Notifications and Messages for buyers requests
Step 2: Communicate with the buyer regarding his request and approve it.
Step 3: The buyer then will deposit the price in MuseValley and ask you to deliver, for a physical product verify shipping method and address.
Step 4: Deliver your project  - upload files, upload physical product delivery details
Step 5: After buyer gets the deliverables you will get the price to your MuseValley Aallet minus some commission.

Manage this process through MyMuse/Projects or your Profile/ Dash board  Activity, frequently monitor your system Notifications and Messages.

What features can I use to promote my Project?

There are 2 ways you can upgrade your. You can choose to implement these upgrades before or after you post your Project on the Gallery Wall from My Muse/Projects or from your User Profile/Dashboard Activity, there is some fee associated with these features. 
Upgrade Types: 

1.  Highlighted Project:  You make your Project to stand out visually by highlighting the Price 
2.  Featured Project:       You move your Project to the top of Gallery Wall where it will get the most views. 

 

Is there a limit to how many Portfolio Projects I can post in the Gallery?

No. You can showcase any number of Portfolio Projects in the Gallery, we recommend that you showcase unique designs and arts, focus on the very special works that you have done and upload quality and interesting photos of these, make sure you fill the Tags (keywords) and Brief parameters so Clients will be able to search and find your Project.

How do I manage my Submissions and Projects?

There are 3 ways to manage your Submissions and Projects, this includes Edit, Cancel, Add features, Contact Client, Upload deliverabls.

1. On Submission/Project details page

2. My Muse/Submissions, My Muse/Projects

3. From your Profile Dashboard Activity - use the drop list on the Image

 * Always monitor your System Notifications (!), Private Messages (Envelope Icon) and email notifications sent to your email

 

Can I submit more than one Project to the same Request?

Yes. You may submit up to 10 Projects to the same Request. 

How soon will I get paid after winning a Request?

You will be paid 5 business days after the Request Holder receives and 'Accepts' your deliverables on MuseValley.

Do I need to pay some fees from the Prize I win?

No, you get the full prize as indicated on the Request

How soon will I get paid when I sell my work in the Gallery?

You will be paid 5 days after the buyer receives and 'Accepts' your deliverables on MuseValley.

Do I need to pay some fees from the project I sell?

Well, MuseValley is a Private initiative of people who likes arts and designs but it costs some money. So, Yes we deduct 10% fees from your indicated price, this includes transaction fees.

Can I sell more than one copy of the same Portfolio Project?

If you didn’t transfer full IP Rights of your project you may sell it to others, see IP terms. Since MuseValley only deals with 100% original work, there is one of a kind for each work so after you sell it you either make a duplicate or post a new similar one, but do that only if IP rights were not transferred to a Client. 

What does it mean if the Request is “Guaranteed?”

If a Request is Guaranteed, the Request Holder is obligated to pick a winner. 

Can I sell a winning Project in the Gallery?

Yes, only if you didn’t transfer full IP Rights to the Request Holder. After the Request is Closed you can post a similar Portfolio Project in the Gallery, your Winning Submission will remain in the Gallery with your winning trophy.  

Will my Request-winning or sold Projects still appear in my Profile?

Yes. You and other members of the MuseValley community can view them on your Dashboard in the Activity section. 

Can a Request Holder pick a winner before the Request closes?

No. The Request Holder will only pick a winner on the Closing day and a few days after the Request closes, you will be notified if you won and also if you didn't win.

How do I know my chances to win before Request Close date?

You need to look at your Submission rating (0 - 5 Stars), if the Request Holder rates the submissions you can learn his preferences as well as your chances. Also monitor the Request Holder Comments on the Request and also on your submission as well as others, you can also look at the Comments and ‘Likes’ of other users on your submission many Request Holders consider the opinion of the Crowd when they select a winner.

Once the Request closes, how long does the Request Holder have to pick a winner?

The Request Holder has maximum 20 days to pick a winner once the Request closes, most people will select a winner at or right after the closing date.

 

What is my Wallet?

It is your personal secured account in MuseValley, all money you earn through winning Requests or selling work in the Gallery will go into your Wallet. You can withdraw money from your Wallet into your PayPal account at any time by sending a 'Cash wothdrawal' request from your user profile (drop list next to your Photo).

Where can I view my transaction history?

To view your transaction history, go to your Profile/My Wallet or the Transactions tab on your Dashboard.

Can I change my Project details after I post my work in the Gallery?

Yes. To do so, go to My Muse/Projects or to the Activity section on your Dashboard and select ‘Edit’ from the Project droplist, if you are in a process with a Client (either Request or Buyer) please coordinate these changes with the Client.

Is MuseValley responsible for taxes associated with money I earn from selling my work or winning a Request?

No. Filing taxes appropriately is the sole responsibility of each user. MuseValley is not responsible for taxes for any transaction on the site. 

Do I get to name my own price when I post portfolio work to the Gallery?

Yes. and you can always change it, if you are in a process with a Client (either Request or Buyer) please coordinate the price change with the Client. Please note that some commissions will be deducted from the price when you sell your project. 

How long can my work stay in the Gallery? 

Currently there is no limit.

Can I link my MuseValley profile to other sites?

Yes, you can add links on your user profile, usually your Facebook, Web site or others. 

Can I reply to comments on my Projects?

Yes. You can do that from the ‘Comment’ Tab on your detailed Project page, you may choose to reply ‘Public’ to all or ‘Private’ just to the Request Holder. 

Can I withdraw my submission from a Request or remove my work from the Gallery?

Yes. Go to Submission detailed page or to My Muse or the Activity section in your Dashboard to do so. 

What if someone copies my work?

You can flag a user or his/her Project. You select a reason for doing so and send a message to MuseValley administrators, who investigate your claim and respond accordingly. MuseValley takes plagiarism and IP rights very seriously. 

Who covers shipping costs?

See the Request details ‘Brief’ Tab ‘Delivery details’  to find out whether or not the Request Holder has already included shipping as part of the Request Prize. If the Prize doesn’t include the delivery cost you need to coordinate the delivery details and Cost with the Request Holder, we recommend that you do that also if the Prize includes delivery costs since there is more than one way to deliver with different delivery prices, lead time, tracking and other conditions (insurance for example).

What do I need to upload to the system when I deliver the project?

If your Project only includes files and ‘soft’ data you are requested to upload these to MuseValley so the Request Holder or the Buyer can download these. If your Project includes a physical product that should be shipped to the Request Holder or Buyer you should upload several photos from different angles, photo of the delivered package and the delivery details with tracking information (Airway Bill Number). Please note that when you 'Upload deliverables' you can upload just one file, to upload multiple files you can zip these into one zip file or you can use the Private Messaging system and send one file attached to every message.

Can the Request Holder select more than one winner?

The Request process allows the Request Holder to select only one winner but if he/she is interested in other submissions , it is possible to ask the Creative to Convert their submissions into a Portfolio Project and Buy these from the Gallery. 

What is MyMuse?

MyMuse is where you can Follow your favorite Requests as well as ‘Collect’ your favorite Projects and Requests.  MyMuse is also where you can manage your Projects and Submissions.

Can I Follow another user?

You can Follow a Client and other users from their Profile page, get there by pressing their Image or name. You will get notofications when the users you follow post a new Request or a project.

How do I search and sort to find my favorite stuff?

There are 4 ways to search and sort:

1. Select the desired Category on the left side below the top toolbar
2. Search for Tags and Titles - Monitor the drop list of existing topics to choose from.
3. Sort by -  Prize, New, Closing Date, Submissions, Popular
4. Advanced Sort for range of dates, prize, submissions, specific status and more

Why MuseValley?

It is a community of people who love special designs and arts, talk about, exchange ideas and comment, share with friends, Follow and more.

Creative talents share their work and knowledge and collect feedback from the community, Clients post Requests for Original and custom-designs. Clients can also buy works that they like from the MuseValley Gallery and even ask the Creative for some adaptations for their own needs.
It is fun and lots of action, MuseValley vivid easy to use image based Web site is for anyone who appreciates Creativity and unique custom-made arts and designs, there are many categories to focus on the areas you like most.  

What is the difference between the Request ‘Wall’ and the Gallery ‘Wall’?

The Request page is showing Requests posted by Clients who are asking for custom arts and designs, the Prize is indicated on the top right corner and the time coulter on the left is the remaining time for submissions by Creatives. A '0' indicates a Request for Idea or existing product.

If you hover with your mouse you can see more details, see the submissions, add the Request to your personal MyMuse to follow and Share with your friends. If you click on the Request Image you will get to the Request detailed page with the Brief and where you can Post your submission as a Creative.

The Gallery page is showing projects, both submissions to Requests and portfolio projects posted by Creatives. Monitor the top right corner for the status of the project, if there is a Price tag it means that you can buy it. The Image profile/Logo of the Creative is shown on the top of each project. 
If you hover with your mouse you can see more details, ‘Like’ it, add it to your personal MyMuse to follow and Share with your friends. If you click on the Image you will get to the Project detailed page with the Brief and where you can buy it if it is for sell.

How do Requests work?

In short, Request Holders post Requests to find Original and custom-designed works, they deposit a Prize for the winning project, Creatives submit their work and the winner delivers and gets the payment as well as recognition and rating. 

How do I browse Projects?

In the Gallery, all Submissions and Portfolio Projects are shown on the Gallery, each has its status or price on the top right corner.

Can I buy a Project?

Yes, any project with a Price on it’s right top corner is for sell, you need to contact the Creative and request it, indicate customizations if you want. Deposit the money into MuseValley after the Creative approves your request, Your money is safe! -  Creative will get it only after you get your work. Manage the process through your dashboard ‘My Orders’ tab, this is the process:

Step 1: Press ‘Buy It’ on the Project detailed page and Request it through a message to the Creative, indicate changes and adaptations if you need.
Step 2: When Creative approves, deposit the price at MuseValley and request delivery
Step 3: Download deliverables (Files), if it is a physical product download delivery details and wait for the package.
Step 4: When you get the package approve it by 'Accept' from the Project details page so the Creative will get paid.

 

Do I have to pay additional fees when I buy a project?

No, you only pay the price indicated on the Project you buy

What is MyMuse?

MyMuse is where members of the MuseValley community collect their favorite Projects and Requests. You can edit your favorites in MyMuse at any time, you can also manage your Requests, Submissions, Projects and Orders from My Muse.

Can I Follow another user?

You can Follow other users from their Profile page, get there by pressing their Image or name. You will get notofications when the users you follow post a new Request or a project.

Who can see my Profile?

Any user that clicks on your Image or Name will get to your profile and activity page. Your profile is showing  a few sections:

1. Your user name and image if you uploaded one, either your photo or logo
2. General information about yourself, skills, type of business and links to your Web site / Facebook page - highly recommended especially for Creatives to fill this one.
3. Private details that you define as public in your ‘Settings’ 
4. Statistics on your activity such as number of portfolio projects/submissions, number of winning, number of orders, number of Requests, following and follow totals.
5. Your activity ‘Wall’ with your Projects and Requests (your private 'Gallery')

 

 What can I do if I see inappropriate or unoriginal content on a Request or Project post?

You can flag a Request, Project or user by going to the Project’s or Request details page or to a user’s Profile. MuseValley will ask you to give your reason for flagging and will investigate and respond appropriately. 

Can I be a Creative and a Client at the same time?

Yes. You can be a Creative, a Client and a Fan at the same time – we are a creative community of all.

How can I get involved if I’m not a Creative or a Client?

You can collect your favorite Projects, Requests and Creatives in MyMuse and can join a conversation with other members of the MuseValley community by commenting on Creative’s work, ‘Like’ submissions and projects and Share these with your friends on social networks, your feedback helps Request Holders select their winners and Creatives to improve their Projects. 

Can I change my notifications and/or email settings?

Yes. You can choose to Notifications and direct messages to your personal email account or you can keep them restricted to MuseValley, see Notifications under your profile.
